The NHL will soon have to be called the CGHL (Corporate Greed Hockey League). Down the road it won't be called the Stanley Cup anymore, it will be known as the Rogers Stanley Cup!

I could not agree more, note to NHL, what you gain you will lose in jersey sales, not to mention respect, not that you would care about respect if you do something as stupid as this.

If this comes to fruition, it is one of the worst decisions the NHL has made in a very long time.

It's embarrassing and stupid that the NHL is even considering it. I don't care if other sports have done it (barely any in NA though) or even if some European hockey leagues do it.

They do not need this money and it is embarrassing that they are considering doing it. While the owners have so much money and the players make so much money, there is still something to be said about cheering for a team and the jersey that represents it. It'd just be weird and kind of disgusting to cheer for the teams while looking at those jerseys in that state. Trying to find the Maple Leaf between Bell and Rogers logos splattered on them.

I really hope the NHL doesn't end up going this route.

But to me, the reason people should be angry about this is that its our complacency towards greed that has allowed Canada and America to be at a point of no return when it comes to income disparity, which is factually, the most pressing problem in either country.
